Marine · New Build Projects

Designed from drawings. Built to last.

Full AV, IT, lighting, and control system integration for superyacht new builds — engineered at design stage, commissioned at sea trials. Working with shipyards across Spain and the Mediterranean.

The decisions you make now define the next 25 years.

Your hull is already taking shape. The interior design is advancing. And the technology decisions you make now — every cable run, every rack position, every touchpoint — will define how this yacht works for the next quarter century.

We get involved at drawing stage, before anything is fixed, so systems are designed in — not retrofitted. That means fewer compromises, cleaner installations, and systems that perform exactly as intended from the first day of ownership.

We work with shipyards, naval architects, and interior designers to coordinate our scope with other trades — managing the interdependencies that determine whether a yacht delivers on its promise or spends years in remediation.

Why early involvement matters

Technology designed in, not retrofitted

Most AV/IT problems on new builds trace back to decisions made before the integrator was consulted. Ceiling depths that can't accommodate speakers. Cable routes that conflict with structural elements. Equipment rooms that run too hot.

We eliminate these issues by joining the project alongside the naval architect and interior designer — early enough to influence the decisions that matter.

The result: cleaner installations, better performance, and systems that don't require compromise or remediation during the final stages of fit-out.

What we coordinate

  • Ceiling depths and speaker placements
  • Cable routes through structural zones
  • Equipment room locations and HVAC
  • Rack positions and service access
  • Integration with navigation and ship systems
  • Power distribution and UPS requirements

Scope of work

Complete systems for the life of the vessel

Unified Control

Crestron-based whole-vessel control designed from blank canvas. Every zone, every scene, every interface specified for this exact yacht — not adapted from a previous project.

Lighting Architecture

Lutron lighting control engineered in collaboration with the lighting designer. Scene programming, circadian profiles, and daylight-linked controls for every space on board.

Premium Audio

L-Acoustics system design for main saloon, sundeck, and entertainment areas. Acoustic modelling, speaker placement optimisation, and amplifier specification before the first panel goes up.

AV Distribution

Ultra-HD video matrix, multi-zone streaming, and IPTV distribution designed for the vessel layout. Source flexibility from satellite to 4K streaming and content servers.

Yacht IT & Networking

Enterprise-grade marine network infrastructure from first principles. VLAN segmentation, crew/guest separation, redundant Wi-Fi 6 mesh, and integration with shipyard IT systems.

Connectivity

Satellite broadband, cellular aggregation, and port-side fibre integration. Designed for continuous coverage from the North Sea to the Eastern Mediterranean.

How we work

From design review to sea trials

01

Design Review

We join the project at concept or preliminary design stage, reviewing GA drawings and interior layouts to establish our scope and coordination requirements.

02

System Specification

Detailed system design with rack elevations, signal-flow diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment lists. The shipyard can price and plan from these documents.

03

Factory Build

Pre-built rack systems assembled and tested in our facility before shipping to the yard. Reduces on-board labour and catches issues before installation.

04

Installation

Our technicians work alongside shipyard trades to install infrastructure. Continuous coordination with project management on scheduling and access.

05

Commissioning

Full system commissioning, sea trials, and FAT/SAT documentation. Crew training and handover before delivery. Remote support from day one.

Project types

Different owners, different desires

Some owners prefer the peace of mind of proven technologies. Others want access to the latest innovations. Whether you're building a series, a semi-custom, or a fully bespoke superyacht, we develop an appropriate response that reflects your priorities.

Series Build

Standardised system designs that can be replicated across a production series. Faster installation, easier crew training, and consistent support across the fleet.

  • Repeatable rack designs
  • Standard interface templates
  • Fleet-wide remote support

Semi-Custom

A proven base system adapted to owner preferences. The reliability of tested solutions with the flexibility to customise key areas — entertainment, lighting scenes, or connectivity.

  • Proven architecture
  • Owner customisation
  • Balanced budget/performance

Fully Bespoke

Ground-up system design for one-of-a-kind yachts. Every interface, every scene, every integration point specified specifically for this vessel and this owner.

  • Clean-sheet design
  • Custom interfaces
  • Unique integrations

Shipyard coverage

Spanish yards and Mediterranean reach

Spain's northern coast — Vigo, A Coruña, Ferrol, and the Basque Country — is home to major new-build shipyards that deliver some of the world's most sophisticated superyachts. We maintain relationships with these yards and can deploy teams for the duration of a build.

Our Palma base means rapid response to Mediterranean yards in Italy, France, and Turkey — and a natural support hub for the vessel once delivered.

We adapt to the way each yard works. By understanding their processes, schedules, and coordination requirements, we reduce friction and deliver systems that integrate cleanly with the broader project.

Northern Spain

Vigo, A Coruña, Ferrol, Bilbao — regular presence at Spanish new-build yards with dedicated project teams.

Mediterranean

Italy, France, Turkey — accessible from our Palma base for project visits, installation phases, and commissioning.

Yard relationships

We understand each yard's processes and coordinate with their project management to minimise disruption.

Post-delivery support

Once the yacht is delivered, our Mediterranean presence means rapid response wherever she cruises.

Authorised partnerships

L-Acoustics

Authorised dealer status with Crestron and Lutron means direct manufacturer support during the build, access to marine-specific product lines, and certified engineers who can specify and programme from blank canvas.

Why HALO

What sets us apart on new build projects

Single point of responsibility

One contract covering design, engineering, installation, and commissioning. Warranty claims go through us — not split across multiple vendors.

Factory pre-build

Rack systems assembled and tested before shipping to the yard. Reduces on-board labour, catches issues early, and shortens commissioning.

In-house programming

Crestron and Lutron programming done by our own certified engineers — not outsourced. Custom interfaces, not adapted templates.

Lifecycle support

The relationship doesn't end at delivery. Remote monitoring, software updates, and rapid response wherever the yacht cruises.

“Having Halo involved from concept stage meant zero redesign during fit-out. Everything landed exactly where it was drawn.”
