Marine · Refit Projects

When your yacht deserves a smarter refit

Full-scope AV, lighting, audio and IT integration for superyachts and motor yachts — engineered in Palma, commissioned across the Mediterranean.

A refit is more than new hardware.

Every yacht that returns to service deserves systems that were designed for the vessel as it is today — not patched onto infrastructure built for a different era. That means understanding what currently exists on board, where it falls short, and how to replace or extend it with minimum disruption to the vessel's schedule.

At HALO, we approach each refit as an engineering project first. We survey, document and design before any equipment is ordered — because on a yacht, improvisation is expensive and time in a shipyard is always limited.

Scope of work

The systems that define life on board

Unified Control

Crestron-based whole-vessel control — one interface for AV, climate, lighting and navigation displays. Authorised programming and commissioning from the ground up.

Lighting Architecture

Lutron lighting control designed for the marine environment. Scene-based programming, circadian profiles for crew quarters, and daylight-linked deck lighting.

Premium Audio

L-Acoustics system design for main saloon, sundeck and tender garage. Acoustic survey, speaker placement modelling and amplifier specification included.

AV Distribution

Ultra-HD video matrix, multi-zone streaming, and IPTV distribution. Source flexibility from satellite broadcast to HDMI 2.1 and 4K content servers.

Yacht IT & Networking

Managed marine network infrastructure: VLAN segmentation, guest/crew separation, redundant Wi-Fi 6 mesh and bandwidth management for VSAT, 5G and fibre.

Connectivity

Satellite broadband, cellular aggregation and port-side fibre integration. Continuous connectivity regardless of region — from Palma to the Eastern Mediterranean.

How we work

Structured around your shipyard window

01

Systems Survey

We document what's on board — cable routes, existing racks, panel positions and operational constraints. Nothing is assumed.

02

Design & Specification

Full system design with rack elevations, signal-flow diagrams and equipment lists. You sign off before anything ships.

03

Installation & Integration

Our own technicians work to the schedule. Pre-built rack systems where possible to minimise time on board in the yard.

04

Commissioning & Handover

Thorough sea-trial commissioning, crew training and full documentation. Remote access for ongoing support from any port.

Authorised partnerships

L-Acoustics

Authorised dealer status with Crestron and Lutron means direct manufacturer support, certified programming engineers and access to the full product catalogue — advantages that matter when a yacht is in the middle of a busy Mediterranean schedule.

Why HALO

A Palma-based team that understands the Mediterranean cycle

Palma de Mallorca is one of the busiest superyacht hubs in the western Mediterranean. We know the yards, the schedules and what it means to finish a refit ready for a July departure. Our proximity is not incidental — it directly reduces cost, coordination overhead and response times.

Beyond the yard, our remote monitoring and support capability means the vessel is never without technical back-up, whether she's in Portofino, Mykonos or Bodrum.

Mediterranean-first availability

Based in Palma with rapid deployment to Balearics, Costa Brava, Côte d'Azur and beyond.

Manufacturer-certified engineers

Crestron and Lutron authorisation — not grey-market resellers, but directly supported partners.

Remote support, wherever you sail

Secure remote access means most issues are resolved before a technician needs to board.

Documentation you can actually use

Every project ships with as-built drawings, programming back-ups and a crew-readable operation guide.
